Symphonic mixtape: January School Holidays Program 2022

Monday 24 – Tuesday 25 January 2022

The Shoalhaven Youth Orchestra presents a music day camp over two days for primary and high school students of all abilities in the January School Holidays.

If you play a brass, woodwind, percussion or string instrument join SYO for two days of music making, workshopping symphonic masterpieces and the opportunity to meet like minded students and develop lasting friendships.

The two days of intensive workshopping is lead by experienced music educators and assisted by local musicians, alumni and performers who will spend the two days imparting knowledge for ensemble playing and ways to continue to improve on your instrument.

Youth Orchestra: Register to play with the Youth Orchestra if you are a brass, woodwind, percussion and string player. Students should be of a Grade 2+ to play comfortably in this ensemble.

“Membership of the SYO has been excellent for my development as a musician. I have gained experience in playing in an ensemble, which is not easy to get as a pianist. I’ve also had a lot of fun rehearsing, performing and also learning from experienced musicians including our conductor and the Haydn Ensemble.”
